As an NRC employee, you may now be eligible for leave with income averaging (LIA). If approved by your Director and Director General (or equivalent), this working arrangement allows you to reduce the number of weeks you work over a specific 12-month period. In this period, you may take a minimum of five weeks up to a maximum of three months leave without pay and have your reduced pay averaged over that 12-month period.
