National Day of Mouring

April 28 is Canada’s National Day of Mourning, a day dedicated to remembering workers who have been injured or lost their lives at work. According to the Association of Workers’ Compensation Boards of Canada (AWCBC), there were 993 workplace fatalities recorded in Canada in 2022. Tragedies can occur in all workplaces and have even occurred at the NRC. The RCEA encourages its members to work safely and remember our Fallen.
