- April 2018
I am very pleased to announce for all the members that your new collective agreements have been finalized, although they are all at various stages in the (long) process.
The TO group implementation has begun as of January 16, 2018. If you encounter problems please contact your Pay and Benefits Compensation Advisor, or the RCEA office.
The AD, AS, PG, and CS new agreements have all been signed by your union and NRC Labour Relations. The AD, AS, and PG were signed on February 22, 2018, and the CS was signed on March 5, 2018. These all have 120 days to implement.
The OP agreement was ratified on March 13, 2018, it is now sent for Ministerial agreement and Order-in-Council approval, only then will it be signed by your union and NRC Labour Relations. This will also have 120 days for implementation from date of signing.
More information and dates can be found under your specific group on the www.rcea.ca website.
The new collective agreements, except for the OP, are now posted on the website.
Thank you to all the RCEA bargaining committees and teams and RCEA negotiator Joan Van Den Bergh for your tremendous dedication to this negotiation process. I would also like to thank NRC negotiator Amy Campbell and her teams.
Since my last update, we have represented the members and the RCEA at numerous committees with Treasury Board Secretariat and the National Joint Council including; Service Wide Occupational Health and Safety, People Management Policy Suite Reset, Union Management Relations, Bargaining Agents Side meeting, full council meeting of the National Joint Council, Union Management Consultation Committee (UMCC) on Phoenix-Union Dues, Relocation, and the Employee Wellness and Support Program. Meetings at NRC included several Labour relations consultations (IRAP, PIP, Security and Use of IT, Federal Budget implications for NRC, December shutdown), and NCOSH and the Joint Consultation Committee. NCOSH and JCC minutes may be found on the www.rcea.ca website under Member Information tab.
I wish you all a safe and happy Spring.
Please do not hesitate to contact me or the RCEA office at any time, or drop by the new office at 5300 Canotek Rd, Suite 100.
