The TO ratification package was sent out the first week of October 2017. By the deadline return date of Friday, October 27, 2017 we had 80% of the TO group return ballots. The ratification passed. The RCEA informed the NRC immediately and the NRC has begun its own approval process. This requires Treasury Board and Ministerial agreement and recommendation for an Order-in-Council approval. We do not know how long this will take. After these approvals, the new agreement is signed by NRC and RCEA; only then will the 90-day retroactive pay process begin. All updates we receive will be posted.

Annual General Meeting:
The Annual General Meeting was held on Tuesday October 24, 2017. We had a very good member turnout at M-50 Auditorium and via A/V and teleconference. I would like to thank Mr. Iain Stewart and Ms. Isabelle Gingras for joining us this year for our informal Q&A. Although we had some technical difficulties with the A/V system, it was a great to have our members direct questions and concerns answered by NRC Management during the Q&A, and answered by the RCEA during the AGM portion. I hope we are able to do this again next year, without the noise and static problems.
The RCEA office moved on August 28, 2017. Please join the RCEA staff in touring your new offices at our Open House on Monday December 4, 3-7PM. 5300 Canotek Rd. Suite 100, K1J 1A4. There is plenty of parking. Refreshments will be served.
I wish you all a happy and safe holiday season.
See you in the new year.
