The RCEA represents over 1600 NRC employees in six different bargaining units. We strive to provide the best negotiation, information and representation possible. But we can’t do it alone. The RCEA relies on representatives (otherwise known as stewards) to act as the main point of contact between members and the union. These representatives share information, answer questions and act as a liaison between members and the RCEA office. Representatives are also members of the RCEA National Executive Committee, the main governing body of the union. The National Executive Committee meets up to nine times each year; these meetings are held at 5 p.m. EST at the RCEA office in the Stone House, Building M1-B.
Nominations for RCEA representatives are open. It is very important that there be a sufficient number of representatives, as this helps to ensure that members are informed. We are looking for new, interested volunteers. If you are interested, please CLICK HERE to complete the attached nomination form and return it to the RCEA office. If you are not sure, but would like more information, please contact the RCEA office at 613-746-9341 or office@rcea.ca
The more members that participate, the stronger the RCEA will be. Please consider becoming a representative.
